About Me

I’m a 25 year old artist from Hampton, Virginia. I began drawing at 8 years old, just like most others I started with Dragon Ball Z & Naruto characters (Fan Art). I watched my older cousin draw which introduced me into drawing because it always amazed me how he brought these characters to life. Over time I evolved my style into more realistic pieces like still life & scenery. Now, my drawing style has taken a turn towards Graffiti which is something that I’ve always wanted to get into but just recently got the courage to follow through with it.

In 2015 I started to create music with Apex Hippy which changed my life but I wasn’t aware at the time. Later that year we dropped a joint project titled “Adventure Time” (AT) which was received well by many listeners. I went to college at The Art Institute which helped me develop a style of my own. I stopped going during my 3rd year to start my business/brand “Cappin’ Out” which stands for “no limit, set goals, achieve those goals and most importantly.. Don’t Stop Yourself”. In the beginning I started to make hats with my designs on them to sell but over time Cappin’ Out became so much more than that. It turned into a place where I could express myself through my art and also deliver a message.

Over the next few years I developed a following through my Instagram @Drawnout__ which lead me to meeting new people, displaying my talent, making sales and overall making a connection. 2019 was the year that really set it off though, I released my first solo mixtape “No Mystery?” on all streaming platforms, I was able to create my own clothing with my own equipment and I did vendor events where I set up a table to sell my clothing & artwork. In April 2020 I dropped my website “cappinoutshop.com” which gave people the ability to purchase my clothing and artwork online. In February 2021 I released my last & final website “cappinout.net” which became the home of all of my creative endeavors.

This site is/will be the home of other creatives as well, I plan to showcase individuals who also have a vision and goals to meet. This was created to highlight people who I think are extremely talented and may not receive the look they deserve. I’m going to grow this platform & develop my skillset as well as create opportunities that will help not only myself but other creatives looking for a place to feel welcomed & appreciated. - Capp Out
